The Death Penalty is a policy where people convicted of certain crimes can be sentenced to be executed. Even when permitted, the death penalty is usually reserved for particularly heinous crimes such as murder.

The death penalty is favored by Patriots, especially since it helps deter people away from most Violent Crimes. However, the lethal nature of the policy and the fact that there's always a possibility that wrongly convicted innocents can be executed leads to Liberals opposing the death penalty.

Introducing the death penalty will reduce Liberalism by 4 to 8%.
